After months of big jobs at the boatyard, marinemotion® was proud to have Chaton Mouille' on the dock last season, and all around the waters near Newport, Block Island and Annapolis.

All systems were running well, and we made tons of adjustments and upgrades over the season.

Pretty much sailed every weekend and many weeks, and had lots of guests aboard for B&B stays on the dock in Newport, or weekend cruises from Block Island to Cutty Hunk.

Our offshore adventure to Annapolis proved our vessels pedigree in less than desirable sailing conditions. She's a safe, stable and swift sailing platform.

We tucked her away again for the winter, and this season we're looking forward to some new canvas work, spit and polish and and even more guests aboard to share food, fun and our beautiful sailing region.

We just gave her twin Volvo Penta 50's a nice long run and they're running sweet as can be.

She can entertain 6-8 couples at 4 salon and cockpit dining tables with a gourmet galley, and offers a spacious platform for lounging in the sun and enjoying watersports in season.

Looking forward to seeing her on the water in the 2017 season as the photo platform for streaming live video of local racing and marine events to our marinemotion® network, and playing nice with guests aboard for sunset dinners and afternoon cruises in Newport and Narragansett Bay.

Heading to the BVI for winter 2019-2020

by Joseph Andrade about 1 month

Getting ready for the new season with a brand new Northern Lights Genset, updated fridge and freezer, and LOTS of cosmetic work. Chaton is safe and sound at New England Boatworks for the winter, and looking forward to here new spot on a floating dock next to Fort Adams this year. Sadly, 1st mate Oreo passed on this summer so our trusty mascot can only be with us in spirit. He loved Chaton as much as me and I'm sure to get his picture up on the bulkhead this season.

The shrink wrap is finally off this weekend and nearly all the deck hatches have brand new glass! Better yet, the great guys from Noreast Marine installed a new airconditioning/heater unit in our port side central air system, so we're ready for the summer heat and I'm cozy warm in the cool spring nights. Next big addition, new stainless, oversized lifelines coming for the stern. Stay tuned!

Chaton has a few fresh patches of Coppercoat where we didn't have time to complete them last season, the running gear and zincs are updated, and she's cradled in the trailer ready to launch at high tide tomorrow. Images to follow.

Visited Chaton last night of for the first time in months... freezing in the boatyard of course but dry as a bone inside. Great to get aboard again, even if she's not floating .
